Three-storey Building Collapses in Lagos

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency on Thursday said that a three storey-building at Iju area of the state collapsed.

The newly appointed General Manager of LASEMA, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, who made the disclosure while briefing newsmen, said the collapsed building was still under construction.

He however was not specific when the building collapsed.

“This is just to inform you that a three-storey building collapsed at K Farm, Fagba, Off Iju Road.

“It was a building under construction, and people occupying the building have been evacuated and the injured are responding to treatment.

“No mortalities recorded. All the key stakeholders that are important in managing disaster in Lagos are on the ground.

“However the building will be pulled to the ground for the safety of the people living in the area.

“All the buildings adjacent or beside the collapsed building will be subjected to solid material testing, for your information.”
