The pupils abducted from Salihu Tanko Islamic School, Tegina, Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State, have been freed.
Daily Trust gathered that their captors released them on Thursday and they were heading to Minna, the state capital.
Armed men had broken into the school in May, abducting 136 pupils.
Eleven pupils were later released because they “were too young and unable to walk.”

Parents of the victims had raised millions as ransom but the bandits reportedly collected the money and made fresh demands, leading to the delay of the pupils in captivity.
Out of shock, some of the Tegina parents died.
The release of the victims comes hours after the principal, Idris Umar, said the kidnappers had called to say six of them died from sickness. (Daily Trust)
