Suspected killers of Funke Olakunrin, Afenifere Leader’s Daughter, Arrested

The alleged killers of Mrs. Funke Olakunrin, daughter of the leader of Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, have been arrested, nine months after her death.

The National Publicity Secretary of Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin, who disclosed this in a statement on Monday said the suspects were arrested by men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigerian Police.

According to him, three of the four suspects so far apprehended were from the northern part of the country.

Recall that the late Olakunrin was shot dead by gunmen in July 2019 along Ore Expressway on her way to Lagos from Akure where she had visited her father, Pa Fasoranti.
