Popular motivational and gospel singer, R Kelly and Sony have agreed to part ways ending their three-decade relationship.

The 52 year old singer has been receiving a lot of backlash following the 6-part documentary ‘Surviving R. Kelly’ aired early this year on Lifetime.

Kelly signed with Jive back in 1991, and later recorded albums under Sony subsidiaries including Epic and RCA.

He has now been removed from both the RCA and Sony websites.

This all comes hours after one of the first young women to ever file a lawsuit against R Kelly for sexual abuse broke her silence for the first time in a preview for Dateline.

Tracy Sampson said she filed her complaint against Kelly in 2002, alleging that when she was a 16-year-old intern at Epic the singer forced her into a sexual relationship that lasted for two years.

‘I was in love with him. I just didn’t know what to do, like I didn’t know if this was normal,’ says Sampson in a preview for the episode.

With tears rolling down her face she continues: ‘I didn’t know if this was how adults acted, like I just didn’t know. I didn’t know.’

This she says all happened while she was an intern at Epic Records, a position she had taken over her summer vacation.

Kelly’s lawyer has accused Sampson and every other woman accusing his client of abuse and/or assault of lying, while Epic Records did not respond to a request for comment, Billboard reports.

R. Kelly has always denied all accusations of sexual misconduct leading up to his 2008 trial.

Sampson also reveals for the first time that she received a $250,000 settlement after filing her complaint back in 2001 against Kelly.

She however wasn’t part of the women who spoke in the documentary on Lifetime. The documentary showed women who claimed to have had inappropriate sexual relationships with the singer speak about their experiences. His ex wife and mother to his three kids, Andrea, also spoke to the singer’s alleged abusive behaviour.

Former employees and people in the industry also spoke on the issue. His younger brother, Corey, whom R. Kelly’s lawyer had said was the one in the sex tape that formed the basis of his 2008 trial also condemned his brother’s behaviour.
