Commercial banks in Ondo have shut their doors to customers following a robbery attack on Monday that left over seven persons dead.
The banks’ action came even as the state governor Rotimi Akeredolu ordered security agencies in the state to arrest those behind the robbery.
Recall that armed robbers had attacked a commercial bank Monday at Idoani in Ose Local Government on Monday leaving behind a trail of casualties.
Following the incident, economic activities in the four local governments were grounded on Tuesday as banks kept their doors shut refusing to attend to customers.

Akeredolu, who was represented by his deputy, Agboola Ajayi at a visit to the Alani of Idoani, Oba Olufemi Olutoye, at his palace on Tuesday described the incident as unfortunate.
He however, assured residents of the state that his administration would work with security agencies to ensure better security for all.
Akeredolu also implored the residents to assist the security operatives to reduce crimes by giving them information.
Meanwhile, security operatives said they have in their custody a suspect with links to the robbery.
