Manchester City and Manchester United have started their campaigns brilliantly with Saturday and Sunday wins respectively.
Manchester City defeated new comer, Brighton, in what was an interesting encounter. The champions of the English Football League Championship, which was recently promoted to the English Premier League gave a good account of themselves as City scored the two goals late in the game. It was all smiles for Pep Guardiola as he bagged all three points.
Football pundits are of the view that the over 100 million pounds spent on signing defenders have started yielding results as City kept a clean sheet, something that was difficult to achieve last season.
There is also joy in the red half of Manchester as United got off to an impressive start with a 4-0 win over West Ham United, which takes them to number one position on the Premier League table.

Two goals from Romelu Lukaku, a goal from Anthony Martial in the 87th minute and a beautiful goal from Paul Pogba saw off the hammers at Old Trafford.
The big clubs from London did fairly well as Tottenham won their first game by seeing off Newcastle United who just got back to the Premier League.
Also, Arsenal defeated Leicester City in the opening game of the season, which was cracker. Seven goals were scored in that game with Arsenal coming out tops with a 4-3 victory.
Of all the elite London clubs, Chelsea failed to win their first game at Stamford Bridge. The Blues as they are fondly called conceded three goals in the first half after Tim Cahill was sent off for a rough tackle.
Chelsea pulled two goals back after the introduction of Alvaro Morata in the second half.< He scored a flying header and gave David Luiz a brilliant assistance to make the game end 2-3 in favour of Burnley.
