Residents of Bauchi State have been urged to adhere strictly to the rules and regulations of refuse dumping to ensure a healthy environment.
Dr. Ibrahim Kabir, Director-General, Bauchi State Environmental Protection Agency, made the call on Monday when he granted audience to officials of Green Environment Promoters Society.

“Henceforth, the period for dumping of refuse is from 7p.m to 6a.m. I implore residents of the state capital to comply with the new measures, which are aimed at curtailing indiscriminate dumping of refuse in various places in the metropolis.
“The agency will work with security agents and community leaders to ensure enforcement of the order,” he said.
Earlier, leader of the delegation, Manil Musa, said the group was created to form awareness of the importance of clean environment, even as he called for partnership with the Bauchi State Environmental Protection Agency (BASEPA) to revive ecosystem and conservation campaign in the state.
