Ahead the 2023 general elections, a group, The Igbo Presidency Progressive Forum (IPPF), has inaugurated its South-East chapter, pledging to leave no stone unturned towards the realisation of the dream.
The group, however, resolved to actualise the Igbo presidency dream in partnership with other geo-political zones of the country.
Speaking during the IPPF’s South-East summit, which took place in Aba, Abia State, Dr. Jude Anyanwu, its National Chairman, explained that the group’s objective was to ensure the emergence of a president of Igbo extraction in the next presidential election in the country.
It said: “Though restructuring the nation is good, Biafra is wonderful. But, Igbo presidency remains the best of all.”
Anyanwu argued that no Nigerian president from the north or any other part of the country could restructure the federation except an Igbo, adding that 2023 remained the deadline to achieve the feat.

He accused the Igbo of being the architects of their own problems because, according to him, they did not believe in the possibility of achieving the goal as Nigerian elections had been a sham.
The IPPF leader called on Igbo to be spiritually committed, observing that the nation needed the ingenuity of the Igbo to prosper.
Anyanwu went down memory lane to discuss the nation’s leadership history and how the Igbo could no longer be relegated when the issue of the presidency was being discussed.
Ndukwe Amaize, South-East zonal chairman, described the meeting as a call for Igbo to organise themselves for their own good, emphasising the need for one voice while discussing the issue.
