Presidential Election: Lamido Adamawa endorses Buhari

The Lamido Adamawa, Muhammadu Barkindo-Mustafa, the monarch of the home state of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has given support to his co-contender, President Muhammadu Buhari.

Buhari, who is running on the ticket of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, is seeking re-election.

In his endorsement letter to Buhari, the Monarch appealed to Nigerians to give him more time to actualise his dream for the country.

“Mr. President there is no doubt that much has been achieved during your present tenure, but certainly you need more time to actualise your dream for a better Nigeria.

“The giant strides and inroads you recorded in various fields of our endeavours such as economy, security and fight against corruption, which still remain the cornerstone of your agenda, would not have been made possible if not for your resilient, focus, passion and love for the country.

“This therefore calls for all and sundry to rally round you and allow you to get to the next level to enable you consolidate the various laudable programmes of your party”, the Lamido said.

Recall that in November 2018, the Lamido installed Atiku as the 7th Wazirin of Adamawa, a move that political watchers believed to be a tacit support of Atiku’s political ambition.
