President Buhari Condoles with Pa Fasoranti over Daughters Death

President Muhammadu Buhari has extended his sympathies to Pa Reuben Fasoranti over the killing of daughter, Mrs. Funke Olakunrin.

Mrs. Funke Olakunrin, daughter of Afenifere leader was killed on Thursday by unknown gunmen.

While the Ondo State Police Command say Mrs. Olakunrin was killed by robbers, some other reports insist she was killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

The 58-year-old woman, however died of gunshot wounds.

Buhari’s message of condolence to Pa Fasoranti was contained in a short statement tweeted by his Special Adviser on Media & Publicity, Femi Adesina.

He said, “President Muhammadu Buhari condoles with Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, whose daughter, Mrs. Funke Olakunrin was killed along Ondo-Ore road by those described as armed robbers by Ondo Police Command.

“He prays God to give Pa Fasoranti fortitude to bear the loss.”
