An Assistant Inspector-General (AIG) of Police working in the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters, Abuja, has tested positive for COVID-19.
The senior police officer (names withheld) “has been taken to an Isolation Center in Abuja on Friday,” the News Express quoted an impeccable source at the Louis Edet House, Abuja as saying.

He did not divulge more details.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday confirmed 248 new COVID-19 cases in Nigeria, taking the total number to 4,399.
It also put the total number of deaths at 143 and Discharges at 778.
