Plateau United Commiserates With Enugu Rangers Over Player’s Death

The management of Plateau United FC of Jos has condoled with Enugu Rangers over the death of its Player, Ifeanyi George, on Sunday.

The Club through a condolence message by the its Media Officer, Albert Dakup, on Sunday in Jos, described the young player’s death as “shocking.”

Recall that George, alongside two others died in a ghastly motor accident in the early hours of Sunday on Benin-Lagos road.

They were on their way to Lagos following the suspension of the league and holiday granted players due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The condolence message read: “The management, technical crew, players and the teeming fans of Plateau United deeply sympathise with Enugu Rangers over the death of Ifeanyi George in the ghastly accident.

“George’s untimely death is shocking and devastating, coming barely two weeks after the death of Chineme Martins of Nasarawa United of Lafia.

“We urge the management of Enugu Rangers to accept his death as an act of God and necessary end for all mortals.”

The Plateau United spokeman also commiserated with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the League Management Company (LMC) over the death of the striker.
