Plateau killings: Simon Lalong imposes curfew

Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State has declared a dusk to dawn curfew in Bassa local government area of the state.

The action followed the persistent attacks in the local government leading to loss of lives.

According to the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Rufus Bature, who spoke in Jos on Wednesday, Lalong took the action after due consultation with security agencies.

The curfew is from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

“Consequently, security agencies in area have been mandated to enforce the curfew.

“Law abiding citizens are advised to go about their lawful businesses,’’ said Bature.
