Plane crash: It a miracle we are alive – Survivors

At least 40 people were killed and 23 injured when a Bangladeshi passenger plane crashed near Kathmandu airport March 12, an official said. "Thirty-one people died at the spot and nine died at two hospitals in Kathmandu," police spokesman Manoj Neupane told AFP, adding another 23 were injured. Survivors of a plane crash at Nepal’s main airport say it’s a miracle they survived an accident that killed 49 out of the 71 people on board.

Another passenger, Nepalese travel entrepreneur Keshav Pandey, said it was miracle that he survived with only injuries.

Both recalled the flight being mostly smooth all the way from Bangladesh’s capital, Dhaka, to Kathmandu, but said that before the crash, the aircraft violently shook, tilting toward the left and hitting the ground with a huge sound.
