The coalition of Northern Nigerian Youths on Wednesday described Vice President Yemi Osinbajo as the face of the Church and strength of the Yorubas in Buhari’s administration.
The group reacting to alleged plans to ease out the Vice President from power by the northern cabal in the Presidency, called on President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure nothing was done to maltreatment or embarrass Osinbajo.
Addressing journalists in Kano, leader of the group, Yusuf Abdulmalik noted that any maltreatment meted out to Osinbajo will portray Buhari, and by extension, the North as ungrateful people, creating a bad image for the region and showcasing it in a bad light to entire world.
Abdulmalik posited that the VP has displayed maximum loyalty to the President in his presence and absence, pleading therefore, that he should never be abandoned at any time.
He recalled how Osinbajo traversed the length and breath of the country during President Buhari’s re-election campaign, preaching the ‘next level’ message of the President.
He further noted that the cordial relationship between Buhari and Osinbajo in the last four years has given more life to the one Nigeria spirit and should never be allowed to be destroyed by some selfish individuals trying hard to destroy the hard- earned integrity of the President.
