Governor Samuel Ortom has inaugurated chairmen and members of the Boards of Benue State Hospitals Management, Internal Revenue Service, BIRS, Primary Health Care and the Benue Investment and Property Company Limited, BIPC.
The Governor while inaugurating the chairmen and members of the Boards at Government House Makurdi, charged the appointees to explore all avenues towards uplifting their various offices and by extension the state.
The Governor urged them to imbibe the virtues of transparency, accountability, equity, justice, fairness, selflessness, forgiveness and restitution among others in the discharge of their duties.
He stated that the previous boards performed at their lowest ebb and charged the newly inaugurated board members to live up to expectations.
Ortom congratulated the Board chairmen and members for the opportunity to serve the state in their various capacities, urging them to avail the state their expertise and work hard to improve service delivery in their various agencies for the good of Benue citizens and for the development of Benue.

He called on them to work in unity for the realisation of the set goals of Benue State while urging the state to give the board members the maximum cooperation to succeed.
Speaking on behalf of all the appointees, chairman of the board of BIPC, Mr. Mike Mku, thanked the Governor for finding them worth to serve on the various boards and pledged their commitment to deliver on their assignments. Mku who stated that he was being appointed to any duty in the state for the first time said they will support the Governor to deliver the needed services to the Benue people.
Other members of the board of BIPC include Messrs James Gwabo, Terna Iorkyaan, Daniel Onda as well as MD BIPC, Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment and Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.
Members of the Hospitals Management Board include Messrs John Enger, Isaac Angbande, Moses Egbodo, Joe Tingir, Permanent Secretary ministry of health and Executive Secretary, Hospitals Management Board who serves as chairman
Mrs. Rebecca Apedzan, Patrick Ogbu and Emmanuel Aondoaver Nyiyongo were also inaugurated as members of the BIRS in addition to Executive Chairman while Mrs. Comfort Agogo was inaugurated as Chairperson, State Primary Health Care Board.
