A 19 years old robber simply identified as Junior, on Wednesday, jumped into the lagoon in Lagos from the Third Mainland Bridge in order to evade arrest.
He jumped into the lagoon with his loot.
It however could not be confirmed whether or not he survived.
Junior is the member of a four-man robbery team that, under the guise of operating commercial transport services, rob unsuspecting passengers.

The gang was said to have been intercepted by the police on the way to Lagos Island on Monday after they had successfully operated.
A victim was said to have given the tip off before the police gave a chase.
Three of the members of the gang were caught while Junior jumped into the lagoon to escape arrest.
The three members of the gang in the custody of the police are John Akinyemi, 27; Paul Olise, 37, and Amos Williams, 21.

In a statement issued by the Rapid Response Squad, RRS, on Wednesday, members of the robbery team were arrested by operatives monitoring the Iyana Oworo end of the Third Mainland Bridge.
“The policemen, after being informed that the one-chance robbers were operating around the area, chased the bus, a Volkswagen with number plate, AKD 562 XP. The robbers, after being waylaid by the officers on the Third Mainland Bridge, abandoned their vehicle and fled on foot.
“But they were arrested. One of the robbers, who was later identified as Junior, 19, was hit by speeding vehicles twice on the bridge before he jumped into the lagoon,” the police said.
The men will soon be arraigned, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, said when he paraded them at the command headquarters at Ikeja.
