The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu on Sunday promised he would return to the country “with hell.”

In his first public broadcast since he disappeared over a year ago, Kanu insisted he had returned fully.

“My fellow Biafrans, I have returned full-time and I’m coming back and I’ll bring hell with me,” Nnamdi Kanu said on a live broadcast on Radio Biafra which commenced 6 p.m. on Sunday.

In the broadcast, Kanu said the plan to kill him had failed and assured that he was coming back. He however, stressed that the IPOB was not interested in anything else other than for the government to set a date for a referendum.

“We will not relent till referendum is conducted. We stand for the truth. It’s referendum or nothing else,” he noted.

“They are doing all they can to hold us down but we are still here. They fabricate falsehood.”

The live broadcast, monitored on the ‘Radio Biafra’ Facebook page, comes a few days after a video showing Kanu praying in Jerusalem went viral on the social media. It was the first indication of his whereabouts following the military operation, ‘Python Dance,’ that dislodged him and his group in Umuahia, Abia State, in September 2017.

In a tweet on his official handle @realFFK, he said, “We have agreed to work together to vote Buhari out.

Recall that the IPOB leader, is facing charges of treasonable felony at an Federal High Court in Abuja.
