Okowa prayed God to give Babangida good health as he turns 77

The Governor of Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has described as great, the contributions of former Military President Ibrahim Babangida to the development of Nigeria.

Okowa’s remark is on the occasion of the 77th birthday of Babangida.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Charles Aniagwu, Okowa said he wished Babangida robust health and many years more.

The Statement, reads: “On behalf of the government and people of Delta State, I write to wish you a very happy 77th birthday anniversary.

“At 77, your contributions to nation building have remained undiminished as you continue to fearlessly lend your strong voice and strategic support to the genuine efforts towards making our nation great. May the Almighty God bless you with more rewarding years.

“As a state, we are grateful for your contributions to the creation of Delta State, 27 years ago. Your vision and foresight in creating the state has no doubt paid off in the economic, infrastructural and human capital development of our people.

“We recall with gratitude your ennobling contributions to the growth and development of our country Nigeria and we wish you more glorious years of contributions to building a united, peaceful and egalitarian Nigeria.”
