The President of the Senate on Tuesday refused to turn himself in for probe by the police over the Offa, Kwara State, robbery incident which occurred on April 5.
Although he had written a statement to the police dissociating himself from any involvement, the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, had on Monday invited him for further probe.
He was to report at 8.00 a.m. on Tuesday.
However the Senate President did not honour the invitation.
It would be recalled that some of the leaders of the gang suspected to have carried out the Offa robbery operation killing no fewer than 31 persons were said to have claimed that they were Saraki’s thugs and that he supplied them with arms.
Saraki had since denied the claim.

The spokesman of the Nigeria Police Force, Mr. Jimoh Moshood, on Tuesday, declared that they were still waiting for Saraki to honour the invitation sent to him.
He said failure to do so would leave them with no other option than to take the next step as dictated by the law.
He warned that the police would not relent in the responsibility of carrying out a thorough probe of the Offa robbery case.
“The Nigeria Police Force will not abdicate from its constitutional responsibilities of detection of crimes and criminalities, and will always treat crime as crime no matter who is involved.
“The force remains focused and will not be distracted from carrying out a discreet and thorough investigation into the indictment of the Senate President,” he told journalists in Abuja on Tuesday.
