NSA, top security chiefs address security summit

The Summit on National Security being organised by the National Assembly in collaboration with the Executive arm of government will on Monday receive presentations from heads of military and para-military organisations in the country including the National Security Adviser (NSA) and other Service Chiefs.

Also expected at the Day-Two of the summit are traditional rulers, cultural groups and religious leaders who are expected to give their grassroots perspective on the security situation in the country and how to permanently address the crisis.

Top security chiefs expected to make presentations and discuss the theme: “Managing Internal Security Threats” include: The National Security Adviser, Chief of Army Staff, Chief of Naval Staff, Comptroller General, Nigeria Immigration Service and the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.

The two-day Dialogue which was declared opened by the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, last Thursday, was convened to enable the legislature and the executive put heads together, share ideas and map out strategies on how to combat the increasing  threats to the peace and security of the country.
