He described later Musa’s death as a loss to the North and Nigeria.
His words: “Former Gov. Balarabe Musa is without doubt a political giant in the history of Nigeria as he demonstrated patriotism, passion and selflessness in his engagements.
“He was a principled man who stood for his convictions even when many did not agree with him. He demonstrated that governance is truly about service and he lived a very simple life.”
Lalong noted that the deceased passionately campaigned against oppression, injustice, corruption and crime, adding that his stance motivated many young people to emulate him.
The Northern Governors Forum chair said the legacies of the late elder statesman would remain evergreen as his virtues were an inspiration to many who had positively impacted the nation.
He urged the government and people of Kaduna State to take solace in the good work of the deceased.
