Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi has set up a Response Resource Mobilisation Committee made up of 47 eminent citizens of the state as part of efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
A statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Biodun Oyebanji, said Gov. Fayemi named the founder, Afe Babalola University, Afe Babalola, as the grand patron of the committee, with three past governors of the state, Niyi Adebayo, Segun Oni and Ayodele Fayose as patrons.
The statement noted that the committee’s mandate among others, “is to mobilise and advise on funds and project management and direct funding campaigns for the COVID-19 response.

“The state government would do everything humanly possible to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the state.”
Members of the committee include former Minister of Health and Chief Executive Officer of Juli Pharmacy, Prince Julius Adelusi-Adeluyi, who will chair the committee; former Chairman of O’dua Investment, Remi Omotoso; former Chairman of United African Company, Mr. Ayo Ajayi; Principal Partner of Aluko Oyebode and Co, Mr. Gbenga Oyebode; CEO of Ecobank International, Mr. Ade Ayeyemi; Chairman, Boyage Oil and Gas, Otunba Olutoye Ariyo; and President, Nigeria-American Chamber of Commerce, Otunba Toyin Akomolafe.
