The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted morning rains and thunderstorms over Abuja, Lafia, Jos, Kaduna, Makurdi, Ilorin, Bauchi, Zaria, Lokoja and Minna on Friday.

NiMet disclosed this in a Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Thursday that the central states would experience localized thunderstorms over the region with day and night temperatures of between 28 to 33 and 20 to 23 degrees Celsius respectively.

The agency also predicted that the northern states would experience cloudy conditions in the morning with prospects of localized thunderstorms over Yelwa, Nguru, Katsina, Kano, Gusau and Sokoto axis.

According to NiMet, there will be chances of localized thunderstorms across the region in the afternoon with day and night temperatures of 32 to 36 and 20 to 23 degree Celsius.

Cloudy conditions are expected with prospects of localized rains over Port Harcourt, Calabar, Owerri and Enugu in the morning with localized rains over the southern region and day and night temperatures of 28 to 33 and 21 to 23 degree Celsius. (NAN)
