The first batch of Nigerians evacuated from the United Arab Emirates have arrived Lagos.
The evacuees, landed on Wednesday night at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, some hours later than scheduled.
They had been scheduled to arrive at 3p.m, but when a woman went into labour on transit and put to bed, developing complications, the aircraft had to return to Dubai.

A tweet by the Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama, on his verified Twitter handle, however confirmed the eventual arrival of the returnees.
He said: “The Flight conveying 256 Nigerians evacuated from Dubai has landed Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.”
The returnees will be quarantined for 14 days before they will be allowed to return to their respective home.
More evacuees are expected back in the coming days.
