The Federal Government has requested the Brazilian Government to support her in the fight against Boko Haram terrorism and piracy in the Gulf of Guinea.
Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali, extended the request in Rio de Janeiro, during a visited to his Brazilian counterpart, Mr Fernando Silva.
A statement in Abuja on Friday by the Media Assistant to the minister, Col. Tukur Gusau, quoted the minister as saying that terrorism was a global phenomenon that needed to be addressed by all nations.

Dan-Ali also called on the Brazilian Defence Ministry to assist Nigeria in establishing a military industrial complex in the country.
The statement disclosed that Nigeria would soon be sending its military officers to Brazil for training.
Responding, Silva assured of his country’s support to Nigeria in her efforts at combating insurgency and terrorism.
