The total number of persons infected with the Coronavirus in Nigeria rose to 44,129 on Monday following the confirmation of 288 new cases by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The health agency which released the figures on its website also disclosed that eight persons succumbed to the disease on the day in review, bringing the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 896.

Meanwhile, it put the number of recoveries across the country as of Monday at 20,663.
The new cases reported from 15 states are as follows- Lagos (88), Kwara (33), Osun (27), FCT (25), Enugu (25), Abia (20), Kaduna (17), Plateau (13), Rivers (13), Delta (10), Gombe (8), Ogun (4), Oyo (3), Katsina (1), Bauchi (1).
