Nigeria Records 226 New Coronavirus Cases

Two hundred and twenty-six new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Nigeria.

The cases were recorded across 15 states and the FCT.

Cross River and Kogi States have remained free of the virus.

According to data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Lagos, the epicentre of the disease in the country, recorded the highest number of cases, accounting for 131 of all the cases recorded in the last 24 hours.

Ogun, Lagos’ closest neighbour, recorded 25 cases making it the state with the second highest cases.

Meanwhile, the total number of Coronavirus infections in the country has now risen to 6,401.

One fatality was recorded within the 24 hours under review while 90 recoveries were recorded.

Details of the new cases are as below:

“226 new cases of #COVID19;
131-Lagos , 25-Ogun, 15-Plateau, 11-Edo, 7-Kaduna, 6-Oyo, 5-FCT, 5-Adamawa, 4-Jigawa, 4-Ebonyi , 4-Borno, 3-Nasarawa, 2-Bauchi, 2-Gombe, 1-Enugu and 1-Bayelsa.

“6401 cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria
Discharged: 1734
Deaths: 192.”
