An Igbosere Magistrates’ Court sitting at Tinubu, Lagos, on Tuesday sentenced a 20-year-old man, Gafar Akindele, to two years in a Juvenile boys home, for stealing 11 dozens of plastic chairs worth N450, 000.
Magistrate B.O. Osunsanmi, sentenced Akindele, after he pleaded guilty to theft.
Osusanmi, however, advised the convict to amend his way of life and turn a new leaf.
She ordered that the convict be sent to the juvenile home at Adigbe, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Akindele, whose residential address was not given, was arraigned on two counts of conspiracy and theft by the police.

Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, SP Chinalu Uwadione, told the court that the convict and others at large conspired and committed the offence on Aug. 2, at No. 42, Thomas St., Lagos Island.
Uwadione said that Akindele, stole 11 dozens of rental plastic chairs, worth N450,000, belonging to the complainant, the complainant, Mr. Lukman Abdullsalam.
The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of sections 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The convict, who pleaded guilty, begged the court for leniency. (NAN)
