The Bayelsa State Task Force on COVID-19, on Sunday arrested nine pastors of various Christian denominations in Yenagoa, the state capital.
The pastors were arrested for conducting Sunday services in their various churches contrary to the lockdown order and closure of all worship centres.
Those arrested were Pastors P. B. Barima; Timi Aaron; Adaba Glory; Chris Ezene and Plus B. James.

Others include: Prophet Alfred Munemune; Daniel Owi; Sardauna Oguta; and Tony Samugba.
The task force said the pastors were being detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yenagoa, and would be charged to court soon.
