According to Down Detector, the problems started at around 08:20 Tuesday morning and is affecting millions of users across the United Kingdom and elsewhere around the world.
According to reports, millions of WhatsApp users globally are currently unable to send and receive messages.
Next Edition can confirm that the outage is affecting both personal chats as well as group chats.
However, WhatsApp is yet to share an official statement on the issue.
