The country earned enough foreign reserves between April and May to carter for seven months of imports commitment.
President Muhammadu Buhari disclosed this Friday morning during his 2020 Democracy Day Speech.
According to him, the country’s external increased from $33.42bn in April 2020 to $36bn in May 2020.
His words: “The external reserves grew from $33.42 billion on April 29th 2020 to about $36.00 billion in May, 2020 which is enough to finance seven months of import commitments.”
