The supreme court has affirmed the election of Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state.
In a unanimous judgement, on Tuesday, the court dismissed the appeal filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the 2019 governorship election in Benue, Emmanuel Jime for totally lacking in merit.
The court held that the appellant failed to prove his case of none compliance against the respondent and so upheld the ruling of the lower courts.
The seven man panel of Justices that sat on the case are Hon. Justice Olabode Rhodes-vivour, Hon. Justice Nwali Sylvester Ngwuta, Hon. Justice musa Dattijo Muhammad, Hon. Justice Amiru sanusi , Hon. Justice Amina Adamu Augie, Hon. Justice Paul Adamu Galumji
