Having endured what seems a severe nightmare with Man City this transfer market, Iheanacho is now set for medical at the King Power Stadium side.

In the early hour of yesterday, Leicester City agreed a £25 million deal with Manchester City for Kelechi Iheanacho.

The Foxes revealed that the Nigeria international had agreed to join the former English champions.

Club’s vice chairman, Aiyawatt Srivaddha-naprabha claimed that Iheanacho looks set to join his compatriots Ahmed Musa and Wilfred Ndidi having clarified dispute concerning the player’s image right.

Aiyawatt Srivaddha in an interview with BBC Leicester Radio said, “A fee has been agreed, only the medical to go, and it could be as early as Friday.’’

After falling out of favour with City boss, Pep Guardiola, the Nigerian international scored four goals in 20 appearances last season.

If he comes through his medical, Iheanacho is likely to pen a four-year deal with the Foxes and become the fifth signing following arrival of Harry Maguire, Sam Hughes, Vicente Iborra and Eldin Jakupovic.

However, whether he will pose a serious threat to a Jamie Vardy led forward is what football lovers need to watch out for in the coming season.
