Oyo: Why we shut down Bodija Market – Govt

The Oyo State Government has shut down Bodija Market in Ibadan for security reasons.

This decision taken on Thursday followed the sporadic shooting  in the market and its environs earlier in the day.

The Chairman of Aare Laatosa Loca Council Development Area (LCDA), Mr. Adekunle Oladeji, said the closure was to prevent loss of lives.

He added that security agencies had been intimated about the situation in the market to maintain law and order.

He urged the people to be law abiding, warning that anyone found wanting would be made to face the full wrath of the law.
