A member of House of the Representative representing Otukpo/Ohimini federal constituency, Mrs. Blessing Onuh and a group “One Idoma Initiative” have placed a ransom of N150,000.00 on the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA chieftain, Dennis Ujah who allegedly raped a 15 year old girl Benue State.
Recall that the Next Edition had reported that the APGA secretary in Otukpo local government area of Benue State, Dennis Ujah had raped the 15 year old girl and had been on the run.
The elder brother of the victim had earlier reported that Ujah had boasted three days after the incident that his “madam”, referring to Blessing Onuh, had sent money to the police and nothing was going to happen to him.
But a social activist, Mr. Julie Okoh, who had also vowed that they will ensure that Ujah meets his Waterloo said “the house of representative member, Blessing Onuh has kicked against the incident and has placed a bounty of N50,000 for whoever finds him.
“Also, a group, One Idoma Initiative has placed a N100,000.00 bounty on him. The police commissioner, Inspector General of Police and National Police Officers’ Wives Association are all working to ensure that the man is arrested.”

Meanwhile, the victim who spoke from the General Hospital, Otukpo, where she has been on admission has called on authorities in the state to catch Ujah and punish him.
Narrating her ordeal, Ene said she was returning from where she had gone to grind garri around 10.a.m that fateful day when a man, named Eddy Ujah grabbed her from the road.
“Because the road is connected and is near his house so he was coming outside, he saw me and grabbed me and kicked me into his room.
“He locked the door and started beating me. After that he went to the back door and locked it and switched on his phone music and connected it to the loud speaker and made it so loud and when I was shouting nobody could hear me.
“After beating me, he dragged me to his bedroom and raped me. So, I now told him that if he does not repent, that God will judge him and show him because of what he is doing to others.
“Before I came out, he called his friend who was outside and told him to check if there was anyone around, so his friend checked and told him that there was nobody outside. So, he opened the door for me and told me to go home. He warned me that if I told anybody, he was going to kill me,” the young girl said.
