The spokesman of Adamawa State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Sam Zadock, has been killed by gunmen.

According to the State Secretary of the PDP, Alhaji Abdullahi Prambe, who spoke in Yola on Wednesday, Zadock was killed in the latest sectarian violence in the state.

“We were expecting him for a meeting yesterday but he didn’t show up; he called me but the network wasn’t good only for us to hear that he was killed in an attack,” Prambe said.

It was gathered that Zadock was killed with four others travelling in the same car in an ambush around Barre Village in Demsa Local Government Area.

Confirming the incident, Brig. Gen. Texas Chukwu, an army spokesman, said about 10 suspects involved in the attack were killed.

Six others, according to him, had been arrested.
