Gunmen on Friday night killed one person, abducted another with the third person shot on the leg when the armed men launched an attack in Rigasa; a suburb of Igabi local government area of Kaduna state.
It was gathered that the incident occurred along the new road which connects Kaduna airport and Rigasa train station.
Residents of Rigasa told the Daily Trust that they heard gunshots in the night as security agents battled the gunmen but said the incident had led to the death of one Auwal Rabiu and another resident.

Haruna Ibrahim of Rigasa said that the incident occurred around 9p.m adding that the gunmen had attacked and damaged a Police patrol vehicle stationed around the area.
He said: “the vehicle belonged to Rigasa Police station, the gunmen raided it with bullets, smashing the glass and bursting the tyres before the Military chased after the bandits.”
Kaduna State Police Command was yet to confirm the incident.
