The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate in Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has won the election in 13 out of the 14 local government areas so far declared by the Independent National electoral Commission, INEC.
INEC Returning Officer for the state, Prof. Seth Jaja, Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Otuoke, Bayelsa, announced the results at the INEC office in Asaba on Sunday.
Okowa won in Ukwuani LGA, where he polled 18,328 votes to defeat his closest opponent, Ogboru who scored 7,264 votes.

In Patani, Okowa garnered 19,683 votes as against Ogboru’s 3, 288 votes while he polled 33,371 votes in Ika South as against Ogboru’s 3,877 votes.
In Ika North East, Okowa also won, polling 67,417 votes while the APC candidate polled 2303 votes.
Jaja declared Great Ogboru of All Progressive Congress winner in one local government areas.
