President Muhammadu Buhari Thursday morning arrived Lagos on a two day visit.
He was received at the Murtala Mohammed Airport by the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, and the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.
Already, Lagos State government has declared Thursday a public holiday for his visit.
According to the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Kehinde Bamigbetan, the work-free day would enable residents of the state to welcome the president.
While in Lagos, the president is expected to attend a colloquium marking the 66th birthday of the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
The event will hold at Victoria Island.

Buhari, it was announced, would also be at the official flag-off ceremony for the construction of the Lekki Deep Sea Port Project in Epe, tour the Eko Atlantic City and inaugurate the Ikeja Bus Terminal, among other engagements.
It was however gathered that while the president was being received at the airport, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, was representing him at the ground breaking ceremony of the Lekki Deep Seaport.
Adequate security measures have been taken to ensure there is orderliness and peace throughout the stay of the president.
Some roads have been temporary closed and carried out within Ikeja, Maryland, Agege Motor Road, Victoria Island and Ikoyi axis.
The police are also working with the Federal Road Safety Corps, Nigerian Navy, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA).
