The Minister of Communication, Adebayo Shittu, and former Minister of Women Affairs, Aisha Al-hassan, have been disqualified by the All Progressives Congress, APC, from contesting for governorship posts in their states in the 2019 general election.

This was made known in the list of qualified aspirants for the governorship positions of the different state as released by the party.

The Acting National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Yekini Nabena, released the list.

While Shittu was eyeing the governorship position of Oyo State, Al-hassan, popularly known as Mama Taraba, has the ambition to become the next governor of Taraba State.

However, they did not pass the screening carried out by the party for the primaries.
