Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State has narrowly escaped death in the hands of Boko Haram Terrorists.
Three persons were however said to have been killed in his convoy during the attack by the terrorists.
The governor’s convoy ran into an ambush between Dikwa and Gamboru on Tuesday evening while on their way to Gamboru-Ngala on political campaign.
Some reports said there was an exchange of gunfire which led to the death three persons believed to be party supporters who had joined his convoy on the campaign, while some other accounts said four persons, two soldiers and two civilians were killed in the attack.

The spokesman for the 7 Division of the Nigerian Army, Col. Isa Ado, when contacted said no information of such attack was received from their formation around the area.
