Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has, on behalf of the Government and people of the state, sent heartfelt condolences to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen Tukur Buratai over the death of his mother, Kakah Hajiya who died on Tuesday, May 5th.

Ortom, in a press statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase, said the death of a loved one such as a mother can be quite painful, devastating and irreparable.

He encouraged the Chief of Army Staff whom he described as a partner of Benue State in the area of security to take solace in the fact that his mother lived a life worthy of emulation and has gone to rest with Almighty God.

Ortom said Hajiya Kakah will be remembered for her selfless service and commitment to the well-being of humanity and the less privileged in particular.

He prayed God to grant her eternal rest and her family the strength to bear the loss.
