Gov. Aminu Masari of Katsina, has approved the nomination Alhaji Sani Danlami, as Commissioner and Member of the State Executive Council after losing his bid to become a member of the house of representatives.

This is contained in a statement, signed and issued to journalists on Tuesday in Katsina by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Muntari Lawal.

Danlami was a member of the house of representatives representing Katsina local government from 2016 to 2019.

He was also the state Commissioner for Sports and Social Development from 2019 to 2022 before his resignation to contest for the house of representatives seat.

He added that the governor has also approved the termination of the appointment of the Executive Director, Katsina State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Alhaji Babangida Mohammed-Nasamu, replacing him with Alhaji Haruna Musa.

The SSG further noted that Masari also approved a minor cabinet reshuffle as follows:

“Alhaji Bishir Gambo-Saulawa, from the Ministry of Sports and Social development to the ministry of Lands and surveys., while Alhaji Usman Nadada, from the ministry of lands and surveys becomes the Commissioner for Special Duties.”

According to the SSG, all the changes take immediate effect, saying that the move was to make strategic realignment and adjustment in the government. (NAN)
