Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila has released names of the Chairmen of Standing Committees of the House.

He announced the names at the end of Thursday’s plenary in Abuja.

For Banking and Finance Committee, Gbajabiamila announced Victor Nwokolo as chairman, while the Committee on Communication would be headed by Akin Adeyemi. Public Account Committee would be headed by Wole Oke, while Mouktar Aliyu will oversee the Committee on Appropriation.

The Committee on Nigerian Army will be chaired by Abdulrazak Namdas; Defense Committee would be headed by Jimi Benson while Federal Judiciary Committee would be chaired by Luke Onofiok.

Other Committee Chairmen announced by the Speaker are, James Faleke, Chairman, Committee on Finance; Nasril Daura, Chairman, Committee on Interior; Paschal Obi, Chairman, Committee on Health Institutions and Nicholas Shehu, Chairman Committee on Anti corruption.

Gbajabiamila further announced that the Committee on Solid Minerals would be headed by Micheal Okon, while Olamide Osoba, would chair the Committee on Sports.
