Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has imposed a complete lockdown of the state for the next seven days.
The lockdown will take effect from 10p.m on Thursday, April 16, 2020 according to the governor.

Kano recorded a new case of Coronavirus on Tuesday, bringing the total number of infected persons in the state to four.
The state’s index case was a former Diplomat confirmed last Saturday with two other cases following on Easter Monday, involving a young man and a woman who returned from Instabul.
Ganduje while briefing journalists after a meeting with Ulamas on Tuesday evening said the latest case was from the first batch of 18 persons traced to have had contact with the index case.
He explained that when their blood samples were subjected to laboratory test, 17 came out negative, while one tested positive.
