Fuel: Makurdi Depot to Begin Distribution 10 Years After

After 10 years of being non-operational, the Makurdi depot is expected to start operation this week.

This was disclosed by the independent Marketers Branch of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG.

The Port Harcourt Zonal Chairman of Independent Marketers, Terfa Levi and his counterpart from Makurdi, Unit, Ezekiel Isaac who made the disclosure at a Branch Executive meeting which took place in Makurdi, said “the Makurdi depot is expected to start operation from this week after 10 years of non-operational as 240 truck load of fuel have been deposited at the depot.”

Levi who expressed the excitement of his members, assured that the union would do all it could to ensure that citizens did not suffer needlessly over anxiety of fuel shortage.

He also assured the public of their commitment to ensure fuel was loaded and distributed to their various locations.

Mr. Isaac on his part called on government to do the needful to prevent fuel shortage all over the country.

Levi and Isaac thanked members from across the states for attending the meeting and called on the leadership to look at ways to address some of the challenges and issues affecting the union with their mother union NUPENG.
