Some buildings inside Balogun market on Lagos Island are currently on fire.
The fire outbreak is reported to have started from Anambra Plaza at Martins area of the market.

According to eyewitnesses, the fire has spread to about five structures and firefighters are battling it.
Many traders are making frantic efforts to save as much of their goods as they can.
The cause of the fire has not been ascertained and no casualties have been reported.
