The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and former Vice- President, Atiku Abubakar, has finally been issued a visa to the United States of America.
Reports say the presidential candidate is already off to the UK, where he would spend some time before flying to the U.S.
The Cable on Saturday reported that no date has been fixed for his US trip.
According to the report, Atiku’s boss, former President Olusegun Obasanjo played a “critical” role in getting the American government to issue the visa to his once estranged deputy.
Atiku, who is widely travelled, has not been to the US in 13 years, intially fueling speculations that he might be avoiding possible arrest or prosecution.
