It was indeed a pleasant way to celebrate Father’s Day for the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina.
Reason: He was, for the first time, flown by his pilot son, Oluwatobi Adesina.
Although the experience came a day after Father’s Day, it was considered to be a wonderful gift for the occasion.
The younger Adesina is a pilot with Arik Air.
The experience was related in a post on Femi Adesina’s wall and it reads: “On Monday, June 19, 2017, a day after Fathers Day, I had the privilege of being flown for the first time from Lagos to Abuja by my son, Oluwatobi Adesina, who is a pilot with Arik Airline.
“It was truly an extension of Fathers Day, as I had the privilege of sitting in the cockpit.
“Did I see anything as the Boeing 737 cruised through the azure sky? Not the foggiest thing. The wonders of our God, and of technology. To Him be all the glory.”
Meanwhile, friends and colleagues have basked in the joy of the experience with him as they passed comments on the post.
Some of the comments read:
Mike Awoyinfa: Our children will fly higher and higher than us in Jesus name
Ken Ugbeche: My dear brother, you are one sure evidence that God is faithful… What joy to last for a lifetime…and to our young pilot our God, the creator of the heavens and the earth, will preserve you….
Festus Adedayo: Congratulations! This should be one of the greatest gifts by providence to a father on fathers’ day. May he soar higher.
Ben Memuletiwon: God is great. To Him alone be the glory. Congrats Oga mi.
Mojeed Jamiu: Congratulations my Editor and SA! I can imagine the nostalgic feelings in the Air!
